While it is clear from the 1st promotional image that the ghost of Francis Griffin appears in the episode, his voice actor, war veteran Charles Durning, is not listed in the episode’s voice credits. This could mean that either Francis does not speak, or another actor has taken the role.

I agree with FGF, it does look great! I was never a big fan of Francis (I don’t think many people were…), but I did like some of his lines. “Lois, you haven’t changed a bit, ya lying bitch.” Dunno why, but that always made me laugh.
I’m guessing he will speak, but he’ll just have a different voice actor. Just like how the voice actor for Death changed.
@Lynsey, the voice actor for Death changed (as far as I recall) because the character was originally a one off so they got a guest actor in to voice the character. Death’s popularity meant they wanted to write him into further episodes but needed someone who could regularly voice him.

Darren – According to the Family Guy Live! show on DVD Vol 6, Norm was tied up with a show called ‘A Minute with Stan Hooper’ and wasn’t available for the second Death episode. Adam Carolla has been a big supporter of the show and really wanted the role. It probably helped that his voice was similar if not perfect.
BTW – Am I the only one a little creeped out by Peter’s chest hair? After years of being smooth…brrrr.

I don’t find Peter’s chest hair disturbing. It reminds me of Seth’s. AHhhhhh. So sexy.
