Family Guy is Banned in Venezuela

Family Guy is Banned in Venezuela

It was banned in Russia last year, and now Venezuela has followed suit by attempting to ban Family Guy from every television channel in their country. Television stations have been threatened with fines if they don’t stop airing the show.

The episode responsible for the show’s banning was “420″; government authorities in Venezuela are enforcing a boycott of the show after the episode promoted the use of marijuana, the Associated Press reports.

That’s just… wow. I gotta admit that I do feel quite bad for the FG fans in those countries. I’d be annoyed if FG was banned here in Scotland, even though I never watch them on TV…

But to be honest, there are a lot more worse shows out there than Family Guy, in my opinion.

Yeah, I feel really bad for the fans there. It is so stupid that they banned it!

    Poor Venezuela.
I don’t think that’s the main reason. I mean, weed is almost legal now, and they have erlier had episodes about drugs and stuff which is much worse then weed. Oh and if they ban a show for that reason, shouldn’t they ban most drug commercials too?
Ok I think they mantioned cannabis in that episode. I have seen the pristiq drug commercial.
When you smoke cannabis you’ll get high but when you take pristiq you’ll die.

    I love weed.
