Ratings: “All Seth” Night
Last night saw the long awaited “All Seth” Night take place, and today sees the viewer ratings for the night released. Family Guy topped the night with it’s 9:00pm airing of “Hannah Banana”, in which 7.7 million viewers tuned in. Another new episode, “Brian’s Got a Brand New Bag”, came in 2nd with 7.4 million.
The epic “Seth and Alex’s Almost Live Comedy Show” was watched by 6.6 million; the feature was a huge hit amongst fans, so don’t expect it to be the last of such specials. The Cleveland Show was just behind this at 9:30 ; 6.3 million tuned in. American Dad!‘s earlier 7:30 time slot saw ratings plummet to 4.53 million, making it the least watched of the night; still, these ratings can be blamed solely on the schedule rearrangement.
The “All Seth” night did about as well overall as its last Sunday night without sports.

primetime time slots do make a difference, if that one special was not on and it was the normal line up at the normal times then I think American Dad would have better ratings than they did last night
Even so, 4.53 million is a good rating in my eyes. American Dad has always been under-rated and Im happy the show has been renewed for another season. Think once the hype has wore off, Cleaveland show will come last.
Yeah i see what you mean. Cleveland this week got 4 previews, whereas all i could find for American Dad was 1. But then if someone watches the Simpsons and watches Family Guy, they will probably sit through Cleveland while their waiting.
I dunno if it was just a local issue, but American Dad did not show up on my Direct TV channel guide last night. Instead there was a 1 hour block that simply said “To Be Announced”, and I had to manually record it, even though my DVR is set to record all first-run episodes of AD.
Did anyone else with Direct TV experience this snafu? Their DVR playback gains are going to suck compared to other shows if this was a widespread issue.
question, how did the almost live show a “huge hit” among fans if it aired 2 days ago (one when this was published) and got lower ratings than both new episodes?
and FYI fox doesn’t give a shit about the number of viewers, what they really care about is the 18-49 rating. the special got 3.4/8, that’s pretty bad. a new simpsons episode could have easily topped that.
“huge hit” as in the huge majority of fans I’ve spoken to/and read comments of, enjoyed the special.
And I think schedule changes could be blamed on the overall ratings.
WooHoo! Family Guy is first again, and the 2nd Family Guy is in second place!
