Ratings: “Big Man on Hippcampus”
A new episode of Family Guy, “Big Man on Hippcampus” at 9:00pm last night saw 8.1 million viewers tuning in to watch, up 3% on 2009′s last new episode, “Business Guy”. This was however beaten by a new The Simpsons, increasing by an impressive 25% on the last new episode to 8.65 million at 8:30.
The usual trend otherwise continued, with The Cleveland Show‘s “Field of Streams” premiere seen by 6.96 million; 5.91 watched American Dad‘s all-new “Don’t Look a Smith Horse in the Mouth” episode at 9:30.
American Dad was the only show on the night to do worse than it’s previous new episode, with a 10% drop in viewer ratings.

The Simpsons git that much rating because of how much more they advertised it then the other 3 shows.
how hard is it to spell “get”?
First of all the word it “got”. Second of all its a typo.
The episode was great.Just hope that American Dad gets better ratings,it’s also a awesome show that deserves more.
Dose DVR a show effect the ratings? Or dose it not matter. I was just wondering.
The Nielsen ratings system does not account for anything outside of a live viewing by a very select audience. Thee are a number of other means of determining viewership that serve as backup including market surveys and for streaming broadcasts, the number of hits. These ratings are still based on the Nielsen standard though.
