Ratings: “Dial Meg For Murder”
The 2010 Grammy awards last night naturally had a knock-on effect for Fox’s weekly Animation Domination.
“Dial Meg For Murder”, an all new Family Guy at 9:00pm, was still seen by 6.2 million, surpassing a new The Simpsons at 8:00 with 5.1; a new American Dad episode at 9:30 also with 5.1, and a new episode of The Cleveland Show at 8:30 with 4.5 million viewers.
Fox was 3rd overall for the night behind CBS and ABC.

Loved Dial M for Murder. Great to see a Meg episode and it was a good one. One of the best this season. Very happy about American Dad beating the Simpsons. I guess ending on a strong joke isn’t paying off anymore
I thought The Simpsons had another one of their patented “loved-up” endings, which became boring a long while ago.
By the way, American Dad didn’t actually beat The Simpsons, the numbers were so close that when I rounded them off, they were the same. Simpsons actually beat American Dad by a couple of hundred thousand.

Family Guy is more charming? Okay, I really don’t agree with that. But I do agree that Family Guy is funnier.
I think TS has better animation – it’s not brilliant, but it’s a lot more expressive than FG’s.
And TS’s musical numbers are painful to listen to, so I try to avoid them. But I like both shows in general. Never watched American Dad and The Cleveland Show is fail.
