Seth MacFarlane Speaks Out on Arizona’s Immigration Law
Comparing it to Nazi Germany, Seth MacFarlane blasted Arizona officials in passing the new immigration laws that allow any law officer to stop people on sight if they suspect they are in the country illegally and demand proof of citizenship.
“…Nobody but the Nazis ever asked anybody for their papers”. “Walking down the street, a cop can come up to you and say ‘May I see your papers?’ . I think they should be required to ask that question in German if the law sticks around,” he added.
Seth added that the law was more shocking than anything he had ever done on the air. Read the story here.

I’ve read a fair bit about this issue. It seems like nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to legalize racial profiling. I could be living in Arizona illegally, but being a blonde, caucasian female chances are they wouldn’t even look twice at me. All I’d have to do is fake an accent and I’d be as safe as any other citizen. But If I were coloured or mixed race it would be a completely different story.
