Breaking the recent trend, Family Guy came in first for the night with its epic Christmas episode, “Road to the North Pole”, bringing in 8 million viewers. A ratings boost of 21% from November 21st’s episode, “Brian Writes a Bestseller”.

The Simpsons suffered a drop in ratings, falling 21% without the football over-run lead in. Still, they managed to pull in a respectable 7.3 million viewers, placing them 2nd.

With Family Guy’s lead in, American Dad came in 3rd with 6.2 million for their Christmas show, “For Whom The Sleigh Bells Toll”. An increase in ratings by 24% from last week. The Cleveland Show was preempted by Family Guy’s early start time of 8:30 last night.

These were the last new episodes of the year and American Dad’s last in the 9:30PM slot before it is moved to the 7:30 “death slot” to make way for Bob’s Burgers.

Fox was 3rd in the 18-49 category and 4th overall for the night.

I enjoyed it, but my favorite is still the first Christmas episode. This episode was a big improvement over the last few episodes so hopefully it keeps getting better.

This was a very good episode! I agree that the first Christmas episode was better. The one thing that got me was Seth’s dad “hosting” the episode. He was just awkward and not funny at all, I think that was why I think the first one is better.
The best part has to be Brian and Stewie delivering presents to the first home!

It was a good episode, but I have to say that I enjoyed AmericanDad’s Christmas episode better. It was on the edge with great soundtrack and original story.
