Freakin’ Sweet News is here to end your troubles, and give you the tools you need to create your very own legitimate website, without the restraints you’ll find from other completely free and easy hosting servers. If you have ever owned a fan website for Family Guy, American Dad!, or any other animated television show, or even if this is your very first time, you’ll be happy to know that if you fulfill our simple criteria, you’re guaranteed to be accepted. Not only do we offer you 2 GB of webspace to begin with, but we may also give our hostees more as their websites gain popularity. Bandwidth is shared with us, so it is unlimited to you within your allowed web space.

Hosting for dummies

The collection of all your web pages (content) is called your web site. To let others view your work, you must publish your web site online. To publish your work, you must copy your content to a web server. Just like all websites, Freakin’ Sweet News runs on a web server (a.k.a. host). We do not own this web server, and we pay a monthly fee to keep our website online. But due to the fact that we are given terabytes of web space which we simply do not need, we are offering you the chance to use our web server for free. Why? Because we’re just really nice people, that’s why.

What we offer

2. A fast and reliable server
3. 99% Uptime (We are not responsible for this)
4. No extra advertisements or pop-ups, etc.
5. Unlimited bandwidth

What we DON’T offer/allow

1. Support
2. Free stand-alone domain names (e.g. www.yourdomain.com)
3. Control Panel (You must upload and edit all files via an FTP client)

Rules

1. You may not store any media files on our server (e.g. music downloads, videos, etc), unless you own full copyright of them
2. You must use a sub-domain provided by us
3. Hosting may be available to websites of the following animated television shows only: Family Guy, American Dad!, The Simpsons, Futurama and The Cleveland Show (please enquire about other website hosting).
4. You may not store any explicit/illegal or otherwise harmful material on our server (includes virus causing software, etc)
5. Freakin’ Sweet News reserves the right to remove/suspend your website from our server at any time without any reason given
6. Your website must be updated at least once every 90 days.
7. You are limited to store content for just 1 website on our server.
8. All users must link back to us on their website.
